Orange Oral Surgery has served the Orange County community for more than forty years. The practice began in the 1980s in Santa Ana under the leadership of Dr. Sandy Ratner, who established a reputation for exceptional oral and maxillofacial surgery built on precision, integrity, and uncompromising clinical standards. As the practice grew, it expanded into North Orange to better serve the surrounding community.

In 2019, the Orange practice moved into its current home in Old Towne Orange, a modern, fully upgraded facility designed for advanced technology, patient comfort, and a seamless surgical experience. As the practice evolved, the Santa Ana office closed and all services were consolidated into this centralized Orange location, where we continue to care for the community we proudly serve.

Today, Orange Oral Surgery is led by Dr. Monty Wilson and Dr. Lisa Tran, whose combined experience, leadership, and dedication to excellence define the practice.

Dr. Wilson, who has been with the practice for more than 24 years, is known for his exceptional surgical skill, steady clinical judgment, and measured approach. He has cared for generations of families and built long-standing partnerships with referring dentists across the region. Dr. Wilson also serves as the Oral Surgery Chair at Providence St. Joseph Hospital, where he guides surgical standards, protocols, and hospital-based care.

Dr. Tran, who joined the practice over 10 years ago, brings extensive hospital-based training, academic experience, and a strong focus on innovation, safety, and modern surgical techniques. She has helped elevate the practice’s technology, systems, and patient care processes. Dr. Tran serves as the Oral Surgery Chair at CHOC Children’s Hospital, where she participates in pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgical care and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams.

Both surgeons are board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and Fellows of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a designation that reflects the highest standards of surgical training, ethics, and professionalism. In addition to private practice, they serve as clinical faculty at the UCLA School of Dentistry, teaching dental students and oral and maxillofacial surgery residents in clinical settings.

Our surgical assistants undergo rigorous, advanced training in anesthesia assisting, medical emergency preparedness, and surgical support. Their education includes specialized certifications that ensure they are equipped to assist in complex procedures and respond confidently in any clinical situation. This level of preparation allows our patients to feel comfortable, safe, and in excellent hands from consultation through recovery.

Our office features advanced CBCT imaging, digital scanning, modern surgical suites, and a full range of anesthesia services provided by board-certified surgeons. We offer comprehensive care including wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, bone grafting, pathology, infections, trauma, and hospital-based surgical procedures. Same-day emergency care is offered whenever possible.
